Meet the Staff


Keith Walls

Owner/Artistic Director

Teaches Ballet, Contemporary Ballet, & American Musical Theater

Keith is a graduate of Missouri Valley College where he majored in Education with an emphasis in Theater & Dance. He began his dance training under Patricia Downey, and with her encouragement he continued on and received a full scholarship to the Summer Dance Lab, a program created by professional dancers drawn from the Joffrey Ballet, New York City Ballet, and American Ballet Theater. After college, Keith moved to Portland where he continued this training in ballet with several well known teachers. He has performed leading roles in ballets such as; The Nutcracker, Don Quixote, the White Haired Girl (a traditional Chinese Ballet) & Sleeping Beauty. In 2003, Keith moved to New York City where he danced with renowned Russian teachers, Andrea Silantiev of the Bolshoi and Natalia Stavro of the Kirov. Keith's theater and musical theater credits include Sugar, Grease, Once Upon a Mattress, The Hostage, See How They Run, and many more. Keith has trained in  musical theater with Diana Laurenson, Amanda Turner, and Andy Blankenbuehler. Upon returning to Portland, Keith has continued his training in dance & theater. He has been teaching and directing for nearly ten years in Oregon and Missouri.

Karen Harlon

Teaches Musical Theatre, Voice

Karen began her study of vocal performance at Ricks College in Rexburg, ID. She later moved to the east coast where she continued her studies with Jean Hawn of Annapolis, MD and enjoyed the opportunity of singing with the acclaimed performing group “The Bachmeister Singers” also of Annapolis. After her return to Oregon, Karen studied with Mrs. Joan Neff of Portland and Ms. Karen Mallory of Tigard. She has performed as a soloist and choir member with “The Stan Gilbert Singers” and “The Holiday Singers” led by Ms. Rebecca Chelson of Oregon City. Musical theater credits include such roles as Ida in HONK!, Yente in Fiddler on the Roof and various roles including Dolly from Hello Dolly in “Tonight on Broadway” directed by Mr. Keith Walls. Karen has been teaching vocal performance privately in her Oregon City home since 1995.
